I usually have a pink bandanna on to keep the sweat out of my face .. puttering does seem to make us lose track of time in the garden.
It is so frustrating becoming older (with conditions that restrict what we can do)and having to "adjust" how we garden.
Peaches are such an all round wonderful summer fruit eh ?
Pears used to be the Autumn treat when we lived on the east coast .. we have famous areas such as the Annapolis Valley that provided them and they totally smelled of Autumn : )
Your santas are adorable !!
Joy : )
PS We have two spoiled kitties .. one married son to a wonderful woman in South Carolina ! Pretty photos - I love your blue dishes! I know what you mean about buying new plants. I made a deal with myself that I wouldn't buy any more until I planted or potted up the ones I have! It's so hard to resist! I've been sitting here reading through your past few posts, amazed at the quality of your blog. You have a beautiful blog and I look forward to reading more. I have followed you!

My husband will enjoy seeing these posts too. He has to be as much of a peach lover as you do and will love your friend the bumblebee and especially the story of Squirrely! I felt so sad reading it and angry at the person who took him. I hope that was him who made his way back and enjoyed his freedom, although I'm sure he missed his Kleenex!

I'm so glad to have met you!

DewenaDewenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07330797553600987145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23802089093232674.post-9857880468179550302013-08-06T06:12:59.345-07:002013-08-06T06:12:59.345-07:00We have peach trees in the yard, but the peaches a...We have peach trees in the yard, but the peaches are very small and slow to ripen before becoming rotted. Still we have managed to salvage a few to enjoy with fresh fruit salad in the morning. Our tomato crop is not as prolific so we also have bought from local markets and a neighbor donated some.Beatrice P.
