I tried to take pictures of the recent Pink Moon. Last year it actually looked pink to me. This year, not so much. This picture was taken at about two in the
Here are some pictures of the hyacinths that I forgot to plant until January. I think they are really pretty. I wish I would have planted more hyacinth bulbs. I will be sure to this coming fall.
This blue hyacinth is my favorite.
I bought a pot of violas. They make me happy just to look at them. Each little flower has such a detailed face. The yellow ones look like they have eyelashes painted on. They look almost magical to me.
Here is a picture of some of my pansies. The only picture of my pansies that wasn't blurry had an extra little surprise. See that little bug lurking on the yellow pansy!
For one more sure sign of Spring, here is my grandson flying a kite for the first time. He was laughing and excited when the kite finally stayed up in the air as he was running. That's the big colorful kite at the top of the picture. The picture quality isn't great because it was taken from a video that we took of him kite flying. He was moving so fast that it was even hard to keep him in frame in the video. The middle of the picture is blurred on purpose, as I was trying to insure a little privacy for our neighbor's home.
Finally, the weather has warmed up (to the mid 80's). Although we still have to go through what my mom used to call Snowball Bush winter, I think it is safe to say, "Heads up...it's Spring!".
Really liked the colorful violas as purple is my favorite color. We used to have a couple of bunnies in the yard, but so far none have been spotted this year. Kite flying is fun for any age!
ReplyDeletehow did I miss the pink moon? That bunny looks big! Love enjoying our blooms this year unlike last year when it all bloomed at once and lasted one day in the heat!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are gorgeous. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures of that gorgeous bunny! We never get close enough to our local bunnies to snap them.

Very pretty photos of your spring flowers. The one of the shining through the tree is amazing! I'm not as gracious as you are towards bunnies. The ones around us don't just nibble, they eat my flowers to the ground! Thanks for stopping by. I'm a new follower.

Good Evening Susie, Spring has truly sprung in your part of the world. When we see hyacinths, violas and pansies, here in England, we know Spring has arrived.
ReplyDeleteYour grandson is having lots of fun flying his kite and what can I say about the rabbit with eyebrows....just so cute.
Susie it is lovely to meet you and I have become a new follower. I would like to invite you to visit me at Ivy, Phyllis and Me! as you would be most welcome.
Sending you best wishes from England.
